Hello all,
I have a 7.5 HP gamefisher that starts first pull and runs excellent. Last year it had no problems going into gear, and now this year my first time running gas through it I can't get it out of neutral. I can get the shifter knob to move, but it will not put it all the way into gear. Once I get the gear to move slightly I can rev up the engine, but it is still in neutral. I already took the two screw plate off and messed with the rods, but no luck, unless I didn't do something correctly here. To me it just seems like it stuck and needs to knocked loose somehow. It seems like it should be an easy fix, but I don't have a ton of experience with outboards. Any ideas on how I can get it into gear? Gamefisher #217586751. Thanks
