1968 eska 7.0hp impeller change

Hi all
I need some advice please.
Can anyone tell me how to change the impeller on this motor?
The motor is fitted with a f/n clutch, so can I just drop the gearbox to access the impeller,
or will the clutch parts stop the drive shaft dropping down the leg.
Will I have to remove power head to un do anything first

do you have any serial or model numbers?

If you have a clutch, it's set screwed onto the crank, and the drive shaft plugs into the bottom of that. Post a model number.

Sorry about the delay, but I had to go over to the boat to fetch the motor at the weekend.
Its now in my garage, so easy to work on.
Model # 1717 Serial # 550961

Here's a 'sploded view of the next year's Sears version of your motor - bet the lower unit did'nt change

You should be able to drop the lower, and the drive shaft ought to come out with it. Take the water tube out of there.
