Fuel pump Kit 1960 25 HP electric start Gale outboard (22DE17BL).

I'm looking for the part # for a fuel pump kit for my 1960 25 HP gale motor. I think it's the fuel pump. When I pump up the squeeze bulb I don't see any fuel in the glass fuel filter bowl. And when I take the output hose off of the fuel pump and turn the motor over the fuel just trickle out of the hose.

I think I would start by taking it apart.there is a slim chance that the pump and fuel bowl are just gunked up.
Its very likely the fuel lines are gunked up as well.
Someone may be along with more specific help.
As you may know Gale and Evinrude/Johnson share a lot of parts.Unfortunately I don't think the 60 E/J motors used a pump yet.

Assuming the motor has the original fuel pump, that pump is obsolete and no parts are available. Simply replace it with a Sierra 18-7351 pump, available right here at iboats. The hoses will have to be re-routed, but you were going to replace them anyway, right?

EDIT: You shouldn't assume the pump is bad simply because the glass bowl doesn't fill. If gas cannot get into the carburetor for some reason, it will be blocked from flowing to it (via the bowl). However, the pump is 53 years old and it is reasonable to think it has lived a good life and deserves to die.

F_R, Thanks for the info. The fuel pump is the original and the fuel lines have been replaced.I order the Sierra pump. Do you know what the part number is for the fuel filter on this motor? Thanks again for every ones help.

Filter element is 302062, gasket is 302675.
