so I just got a older 1.2hp Tanaka , seemed to run great when I went to see it. now not so much. took it out for a test run. on my 16foot Frontiersman canoe. seemed to run ok. then it stopped running. was hard to get restarted. but it did. so we went home.
I then tore down the carb. cleaned it and reinstalled.
got it running again. Ran well then died. and won't restart, checked spark. and reset gap. seems to be getting fuel. fuel flow on/ off at the float seems to be working. any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to make a Stave Lake trip with my kids this weekend. but I need this to be reliable. and rowing is out if the question. two bad shoulders. cheers
