My 7.5 HP Ted Williams
Model 217-5889-0
Serial 3C 1759009
doesn't want to engage forward gear. I've read that it's common for the clutch dog to fail and leave it in gear. This would be fine with me but it doesn't seem to be the case for me. My questions is, how hard or easy for me to get to the clutch? When I attempting to shift, I could hear a click, but it doesn't engage.
I wish the diagram on the Sears Parts site is better because I can't see anything there. I figure if I can some how get to it, I can just rig it to stay in forward gear and it'll just be a pull-and-go motor. Where should I start?
Thank you for reading my post and ranting.
