I have a 2 year old Suzuki 40hp outboard with about 35 hours on it, when it's in the water and started, water squirts from the pilot tube immediately............But when I flush it, I put duct tape on the auxillory water intake and turn on the water to the rabbit ears..........the water seldom comes out of the pilot hole until about 30-45 seconds.
What's going on here? Today after 2 minutes it started to come out but was weak and warm and the overheating beeps were going off..............what am I doing wrong?
