Agreed. One set of points fires two cylinders, #1 & #3. Other set fires the other two. Except for the possibility of two bad spark plug wires, everything else is common to all four cylinders.
Well another possible exception...If the spark is very weak on the two that are firing, it could be something else, like a bad coil.
