Montgomery Ward Sea King identification help needed

Recent purchase of sea king 3, model GG 18735, serial 16x833482. my guess is it might be a gale 3hp. as usual any info on this would be great. looks good but seems like it has little compression. removed plug and poured some sea foam in. probably try a little oil in there and try it again.

Ok, found the list, so it is a 61 or 62. would I look for evinrude parts then?

The 3hp is a little different It's even listed in a separate section in my after market manual. it shares ignition parts with OMC motors
but is a single cylinder 3.It also uses the old style carb and pump.
It does share parts with all the private label 3 hp motors built by Gale.

It is a 1961. That is what the "16X" means. Reverse the 16 and you get 61.....1961. Yep, Gale
