Re: 1953 firestone 10hp crank shaft needed
I'm looking at a very lonely 53-54 3835 Scott Atwater firestone 10hp crankshaft w/ and upper and lower bearings right now. I have even located replacment crank seals for the old beast from
https://catalog.dichtomatik.us/ I found them hard to locate in that exact size but Houston bearing found them for me.....personally I think its worthless to try and rejuvinate a old 2 cycle 2 cyclinder SA with out new crank seals.
I replaced the whole powerhead on mine with a 3845 of which the bearings change in design but the crank size is the same all the way through, one might even want the center bronze bushings to match up with the new crank if your changing out cranks. not sure how to remove them but there not cast in.
just a thought and suggestion
