1948 Sea King 5 hp stuck piston & dissassembly

I just inherited a 1948 Sea King. It's cosmetically very nice but mechanically the engine is stuck.
I have worked on several small Johnson/Evinrude outboards. The sea Kind is built quite differently.
Can anyone steer me to a service manual detailing dissassembly? With no cylinder head I must somehow dissassemble
the pistons/crank etc.
Might someone have some tips on freeing up this little engine.
I truly appreciate any help offered. Thanks.

I have a 47 5hp, and found these online somewhere a while back.

Mine is direct drive, so, if it is frozen up it can be anywhere from the top to the prop. I have freed up pistons by spraying penetrating oil into the cylinders and slowly trying to get some movement, spray more work it a little, spray more, etc. again, if the prop is froze up on a DD then nothing turns, so, don't automatically assume it is a stuck piston.

Welcome to the iboats.com forum! The experts here, which I am not, can help you solve any problem. Since Sea King was the private-brand label of Montgomery Ward, we need to determine which manufacturer actually built it in order find service info/documentation. Is there a model number or serial number on it that you could post. Pictures can also help identify it. Good luck with that great old motor!

My outboard has a model number of 84GG9014A and a serial number of 194546.
I've got it partially dissassembled but have not yet been able to access the crank or connecting rod cap screwws.

Gale is what the book says, I really like the kroil product for rust penatration and it could take minutes, days or weeks or like me I used a hammer and chisel;)

In the process don't remove the cylinder head cover. It is nearly impossible to get it back on right.
