Montgomery Ward Sea King/Clinton 5 hp info needed.

Good morning, I just purchased a 5 hp monkey ward sea king 5hp, 1973. I don't find any parts breakdown on this motor. It is a k500. Only $35. and comes with tank and line which will be delivered later, so I can't see if I can start it. good compression and not beat-up at all. It appears to be air cooled, I think. It really has the title, and it came from original owner. Anyone know anything about these motors or a source for points and condensor? Hope I didn't buy something I can't get parts for or tech info. I'm not sure what possessed me to buy it since I don't have an extra boat to put it on.

Cheer up. You could get lucky.
Plan on cleaning the points.
In order to do that it's likely you'll have to tap the flywheel holes to accept a puller.
Clean the carb.
Replace fuel lines.
Water pump impeller replacement will improve your vocabulary.

Yep. It's air cooled. Mostly. But it uses water cooling too.
