1976 - 1984 Triton Outboard (newbie needs help)

I recently purchased a "1975 5HP Triton outboard (pictured). Upon researching this make after purchase, I came to find out that Triton was manufactured between 1976 to 1984. That their smallest engine was in fact 5.5HP. I have checked the motor over and can't seem to find any serial numbers or anything to help me with my search other than the "TRITON" nameplate on the outside of the cover. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Online resourses are limited due to the company folding 28 years ago.

Hey, just saw your post...sorry and I hope your still hanging on, I try to stay away from Iboats posting because of the brainless bumbling wrong info givin out by some dink swabs over and over just to run up there pitiful post count, but from time to time I see some who really need the help so I come back,
I do have a manual for this outboard, The Triton Arrow, wished I had one....
