1948 firestone colour

I checked before on a paint code . My son was talking to gentleman that said in 48 the motors were silver and 49 went to a mist green can any one confirm this just about ready for paint. Thanks for any help. Jerry.

They were aluminum silver almost through the 40's, went to the green-bean/pea green in 49 or 50. Don't know of any close matches to the green...I've just color matched as best I can. Custom colors get pricey...but a good auto body/paint shop can match the color exactly if you have a sample they can scan...some can also mix and put it in a can for you.

My all-original 1947 is dull aluminum. The 1949's were green. That leaves the 1948 open to question.
