Any suggestions on finding a piston connecting rod and head for SeaBee 1G1 motor?

Find an old outboard swap (check the AOMCI web site). There is usually a few at a swap ($50 bucks). Watch out Gale switched the drive shaft to a smaller one after 1947. Any 1945 to 47 3hp Seaking/Viking/Seabee/Gale should fit. Yours should be a 7/16 drive shaft.

Usually the bottom ends are messed up on those outboards. The drive shaft chews up the bushing leaving too much back lash. I got a motor with a thrown connecting rod looks like it was run with too lean of a mix.

good luck

Piston is part number 590186, listed as unavailable---try www.sea-way.com

Con rod is 590007. www.marineengine.com has two in stock. $75 each. You really didn't want one after all, did you?

There is no head. Do you mean the cylinder?
