Hello and thanks for allowing me to post on this forum. I recently purchased a sea king montgomery ward model number 74gg9012. I'm not sure if it works or not I just changed the spark plugs and did some cleaning on it. The question I have is where is the carb located? I wanna clean that out before running gas through there. This is the 3 hp engine I believe. I'm no mechanic and know little about this motor any help is appreciated.

Montgomery Ward Sea King 1947-48, it is 5HP not 3. If you have replaced the spark plugs you would have had to have removed the side covers, if they are not missing. The carburettor is at the opposite end of the motor to the spark plugs. 6 bolts to remove it as one complete unit.

Thank you for the information. The motor I have is a pull string start motor and the gas tank looks like a toilet seat cover. I'm still trying to learn the thing so its good to know that its a 5 not a 3
