I've been trying to rebuild a Martin 7.5. The lower piston is seized due to water. I was able to pick up another powerhead for cheap...but the pistons were seized as well due to water. I do not know if I've got bad luck or if water entry was a problem with these Martins!?
Question: Where is the "weak spot" for water entry on these motors? during the autopsy I did not see anything obvious.

Any insight from those who know Martins?

Pretty sure there is a guy at www.aomci.org that knows the Martins in and out. Haven't heard anything but good news about the Martins.Though any motor that has been overheated could ingest water.
