Cruise 'n Carry 6600

I have a Cruise n carry 6600 1.5hp outboard and the problem I am having is when I put the motor in drive, the motor with run for 10 secs at idle speeds then quit. The motor dose not cut out in neutral and I am able to rev the engine to full while in neutral. Any help in this problem would be great.

Check sparkplug (or replace if nasty), clean carbureator, adjust idle mixture (most outboards run the screw about 3/4 - 1 1/2 turns out from seated position.
