Does any one know of anywhere I may be able to find carb. parts for this motor. Before I take it apart it would be nice to have seals, float and the like, I know these are probably going to crumble upon disassembly. gaskets I can make, some other parts may be more challenging. It appears that it has an old cork float, don't know how well these hold up dry.

For the float, purchase a Sierra Marine 18-7208 (for Mercury motors) here at iboats. Remove the spring and sand the dome off the top and drill 3/32" through for the float pin. Don't sand off too much, you can't put it back on.

The needle valve packing takes a lot of abuse, and the "regular" ones won't hold up well. I make mine from an old leather belt. Some use an o-ring, but they have gummy feel to them as you turn the needle to prime and adjust.

Make your own reed plate gasket. Kind of tricky because of the oil hole and need to keep the edges away from the reed. But it can be done, and I've done lots.

That's about all you normally will need.
