Can't say for certain, but the impeller and housing looks similar to my '76 Johnson 40HP engine. And those part numbers are;

0319155 for the impeller housing, which is the same design as yours
0386165 for the impeller, again looks the same as yours
0319346 for the bottom plate
0304026 for the grommet that the water tube fits into at the output of the housing.

You can check those numbers and see it they could work. JMHO

Looks don't count. It is different.

Original number was 375808, superseded by 378891, superseded by 775521. Or Sierra Marine 18-3006 here at iboats

Well ok, according to the Sierra Marine catalog, 18-3006 replaces 775521. Used on 40hp 1971-73, as well as a whole slew of motors from the 1950's-1960's. I can't find a Sierra number to replace OMC 386165 (1974-1976). I confess I don't know what the difference is, but I think it might be shaft diameter--or possibly keyway? Unless Sierra has screwed up 18-3006 will fit your 1959 Sea King. The number has been around since before then.

With great and total respect for our host, iboats, I say that is incorrect. Yes it is true that 18-3083 fits a 1959 Johnson or Evinrude 35hp. But you don't have a Johnson or Evinrude, you have a Gale. Your water pump is the same as a 1957 Johnson or Evinrude 35hp and takes a 18-3006.

To explain, the 1959 Johnson and Evinrude 35hp motors had a thermostat-controlled recirculating cooling system with a taller impeller. Your Gale did not have a thermostat or tall impeller.

But I'm not selling you an impeller, iboats is. I'm just trying to keep you from ordering the wrong one and have to return it.
