Hi all,
I have a '94 Gamefisher 9.9 that doesn't pump water. I've removed the 4 external bolts from the lower unit and know there's an allen screw that connects the shift linkage. The problem is I can't lower the unit enough to get access to the shift linkage connection. The unit only drops down about a half inch then seems to "bump" against something holding the drive shaft in place. There's lots of play in the shift mechanism so it's not that. Is there a pin or something else that holds the driveshaft in the powerhead or could it be seized? Appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks.
