All I could find on this is a model 62-M Anyone have any clue the MFG? Any value to these. It is free, tank is clean, probably would run with a little work.

I have no idea. But it looks interesting. I am certain there are some folks on these forms that can name that tune though.

What you have there is a late 1940's-1950's Flambeau outboard. I don'y believe the "62-M" is the model number...where did you get that from? Flambeau Outboards were produced by the Metal Products Corporation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two models, a 2.5 hp and 5 hp were produced from 1946 through the mid 1950's. They are quite unique in the fact that the outboard is actually made of two pieces of cast metal, and it actually needs to be split in half to work on any part of the motor.
This is what that motor used to look like!

As far as what they are worth...no idea. Probably worth something to the right collector. Parts might be hard to come by though! Hope this helps out.

Okay, I am glad you posted those pictures. That is a unique build design. Can't say it was a good idea, but only unique. I knew somebody would post all about it. The knowledge on these forums is amazing. :thumb:

Wow! Thanks for the reply, might just be a wall hanger at the cabin. The 62-M was stamped on the engine and it said Model and then the number. I will look again when we go back to the cabin as I do not remember exactly where it was stamped.. Bought this at a moving sale and it was cheap. Thought it was kinda neat.

Thanks Again!!
