I was wondering which Johnson outboard lower unit pinion gear was compatible with a 1962 3hp Gale, I have a 1939 2.5 Johnson and wondered if the pinion was the same.
Never say never, but I don't think Johnson ever used that lower unit. But it was used on a whole raft of Gale versions 1950-1963. The pinion was only sold with a prop shaft & gear. Part number is 591997.
