Hey gang....does anyone know a good source for a Chrysler LM318 reverse rotation block? Have a project going and the block is cracked on the water jackets.

Thanks

if your cam, starter and distributor are good, transfer them to another 318 block.

the block and heads are the same. the cam and distributor along with the reversed rotation starter are what makes the motor run backwards.

for the chrysler, there is a custom adapter housing on the distributor. also If I remember, the pistons are installed backwards to get the wrist pins loaded the opposite way to reduce piston slap. And I just read that the rear main seal is a different part number

oh ok ty...so any LM318 block will work, as the block its self doesnt determine the rotational direction. Thanks for the info.
