Beached 1992 yamaha 4.3 WOT and hydraulic issues

Folks,

I beached my outdrive in mud and sand in the middle of the lake. Now, the outdrive wont go up and WOT wont go over 4k.

What damage did i do to the outdrive and extent of repair?
What do i need to do to clean out any mud and sand left in my motor if any?

Any advice would be appreciated.
