Yamaha Control Question

Just got my boat. Has the 5.7 Yamaha I/O. Also has the Single Controller. For the life of me, I cannot get it to go into Rev mode (without putting it in gear). I've pushed the plunger in and it still wont allow it. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my controller? Or is that not an option with this controller?

Ayuh,.... Sorry Steve, like the Yamaha drives, there ain't many folks that know anything about 'em.....

I've only seen 1 or 2, 'n Never up close, 'n personal...

You have to press in and hold the plunger with your left hand while you operate the control lever with your right. Make sure to squeeze the engagement lever which allows the lever to operate.
