93 yamaha stern drive gimbal

i just pulled the gimbal bearing on my yamaha stern drive and i had just changed out my buds alpha one and his old bearing was on the table i just checked them and they measure the same. are they i know the yamaha is $200 and the merc was $34. can i use the merc

Ayuh,... All of the gimbel Bearings are the Same, that I've seen....

Yep, same gymbal bearing and same alignment tool

Ayuh,... Kinda irrevelant ain't it,..?? Volvo,+ OMC also use the Same bearing...

Just make sure you use a bearing that has the opening for the grease tube...some of late models have permenantly lubed gimbles and therefore no opening for the grease to get in...
