Riser warmer than other

Ok, I have one elbow run hotter than other at start up. I have Crusader 7.4 and when I first start the boat the one elbow gets warmer than the other on the starboard engine. Elbows, manifolds, impeller and circulation pumps are brand new. Here is where it gets weird, as soon as I give it throttle or go into gear it cools down and when I go out of gear it's stay normal. What gives. It seems like it builds up pressure to circulate the water. Raw water cooled. I cleaned out the u cooler.

welcome aboard

its normal. at low rpm, there is low flow, and the slightly lower elbow will be cooler. water will flow out the lower of the two elbows, leaving the other one a bit warmer

stand on the other side of the motor next time, the other side will be warmer.

use the search function, this question comes up about once a month.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.....If all things were equal, it probably wouldn't happen, but all things are never exactly equal,...

It a pretty common thing yer seein',....
Unless other symptoms crop up, chaulk it up to lean of the hull, or slightly different length hoses, or Whatever,...
By itself, it's a Non-issue,....
