jetboat engine swap

I have a 73 Taylor SS that had a 455 olds engine, The boat has been sitting for years & I recently was given a 351 windsor marine engine complete with inboard attached. I have a numerous performance parts for this engine, the boat has a berkley pump my concern is will the small block perform,or am i wasting my time

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Yer pump probably has an AA or A cut impeller, which might need to be turned down to meet the horsepower of yer new motor,....

While Ford power isn't the best way to go, it oughta work just fine,....

why not resurrect the olds? just because its been sitting, doesnt mean its bad

like Bondo pointed out, you probably need to have the impeller turned down to a B or C
