I have a sea maxx 5.7 when I first got it we could go I thought it bad points in it As I got troubleshooting the no spark issue I came to the point that the coil was bad so I got a new coil and had to park for two cranks and then the coil was bad again I noticed in the wire harness there was no ballast resistor so I pulled the distributor cap and there was no points is this an hei system if so it just has an external coil but still wouldn't need a ballast resistor or is it a separate style of coil that does not require a ballest resistor that I need. If that's the case what coil do I need or do I need to add a ballast resistor I will upload photos from my computer my iPad is not allowing it
