Yamaha trailer switch not working

Does the trailer trim switch connection go all the way up to the shifter control or does it "splice" into the harness at the engine/transom?

Ayuh,..... Not near enough Info,.... What's the problem yer tryin' to fix,..??

You can test the forward switches, whether on the dash, or elsewhere, from the Pump,....

Matter of fact, most issues are at the pump Wirin', 'n not the switches,....

The trim works fine from the switch on the shifter. The trailer switch doesn't work. It worked before I replaced the engine. I just over looked it last year but I did miss having the switch on the out drive.

No power on the plug at the transom where the trailer switch plugs into the harness. I saw a couple wiring diagrams that looked like the trailer switch wires ran all the way up to the shifter.

Ayuh,.... Ain't sayin' it don't, but there's No reason for it too,......

A switch can be put anywhere on the boat, 'n hook directly to the pumps wirin', at the pump,....
