Need Rochester 2BBL specs for OMC 3.8L 229" V6

Hello,

I am trying to find the actual carb specifications (float drop, etc.) for a Rochester 2GC 2BBL (#17083110) when it is mated to a 1985 OMC 3.8L 229" 170HP V6. This is a factory supplied combination.

My carb kit skips the 229" V6 motor in the data table and the Seloc manual skips my 3.8L motor completely. I have called several Rochester carb shops with no luck. It seems to stump everyone I ask.

Does anyone have that giant Delco-Rochester manual that they can look up the specifications for me? I guess it is supposed to be in section C.

My motor # is: 382STMRCRJ, serial #: J 796170. I read elsewhere that because it is silver it is a 1985 model.

Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same engine/carb/year as you. This is direct from the OMC manual for the Rochester 17083110 carb:

Float level .535" / 17/32"

Float drop 1.75" / 1-3/4"

Pump rod adjustment 1.230" / 1-15/64"

Vacuum break .190" / 3/16"

Choke unloader adjustment .300" / 5/16"

Initial choke adjustment Index

Initial idle mixture 2-1/2 turns out
