I am trying align my engine and I can not figure out how to raise the front engine mount.
It is a 3.0L 1998 Volvo/OMC with a single front mount on a 170 Four Winns.
None of the bolts will turn, although I don't really see which ones I should turn. I am soaking them with PB Blaster at the moment.
I believe I need to raise the front about 1/4 inch or so.

Also, is it possible to adjust the height of the rear mount? Those bolts are almost impossible to access and they are stuck as well. I'm hoping just the front will do.

I'm guess that I will need to use a small car jack to bring some pressure off the mount etc.

Please help, I want to fish this weekend!

If my memory's right?
There are 2 nuts accessable from the front.
There are 3 #4s from the diagram. The top is adjusted and locked in place with a smaller nut
The top one needs to be turned from the L to the R
You can use a small jack with a piece of wood to take some pressure off.
But before you do this? make sure your gimbal bearing is aligned right.
You have an alignment tool?

You do need the alignment tool.
