I'm going to do a transom mount re-seal and want to replace the gimbal bearing, but since i'm not experienced in it's replacement, I'm not sure what it's called here:

BRP -- Parts Catalogs

I've looked in transom mount and upper gearcase but not sure if it is shown or labeled as something other.

I appreciate any advice and it is not an emergency. ;) I am just looking for a part number.

Howdy,

If you look at the "Transom Mount" pictorial you'll see it.

#74

You should also replace the bellows too
#37
37 0913825 BELLOWS, U-joint
74 0983937 BEARING ASSY., U-joint

There are transom service kits I believe that are somewhat generic. It usually includes the bellows, gimbal bearing, gaskets etc...

Don't forget the raw water impeller. I hope you have spares or an engine mounted pump......... I don't think you can buy them anymore.

Regards,

Rick
