I have a 1982, 2.5L OMC I/O, model number 252FTHRCNC, serial number J740693. It has a small drip of water weeping to the outside around one of the spark plug recesses. Not in the spark plug gasket or thread area but in the recess around the plug. I'd say it's 10 drips a minute or something on that order. That spark plug recessed area fills up with water then runs down the side of the engine.
It doesn't seem to be causing any kind of a problem so far. Is that something I can clean up with a dremel tool and patch with some JB Weld or something? Or, would I be better off leaving it alone?
Thanks for any advice. This is a fantastic forum, I've never posted but have used a lot of other posts to get this old boat from not starting to running great again.
