shifter cable hose replacement

i have a 1990 21 ft donzi with omc. i have the motor and lower unit off. Im wondering if someone can tell me the best way to get that fitting off for the shifter cable hose and what size wrench the fitting could be as the hose needs replaced? thank you!

Since no one has replied guess I'll take a stab at it. Don't know how much help I can be though cause I haven't replaced mine yet.

Just to be sure you are talking about the rubber hose that the transom bracket shift cable goes into?
