As you'll note in my other posts, I'm really new to boat-owning. I have a 1987 Larson with an OMC model 302AMARJ. I know it is a 4 cyclinder, 3.0 liter, carburetor engine. So far, though, I have not located the key to identifying who made the engine -- Ford, GM, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I might determine this information. Thank you.

Howdy,

It's a GM industrial type engine used in many different pieces of equipment over the years like fork-lifts, tractors and BOATS, etc.....

Good little engine, still in production I believe.

Yep it's a gret engine. Just keep it tuned up, don't let it overheat with frequent oil changes & make sure you winterize it properly. And don't beat it to death. Mine's 25 yrs. old & still prurrs like a kitten.
