Hi,

I had an gas tank deterorate due to E-10 and have installed a 12 gallon deck tank. Any idea how many hours I could run on 12 gallons of fuel ?

So many factors to consider here. The boat will use the same amount of gas as before, right?

17' skiboat, or 40' houseboat?
regardless, at WOT, your engine is quite capable of burning that in 30 to 45 minutes.
The best you could hope for under ideal cruise conditions is about 2 hours (e.g. going with the tide, tailwind, light load)
You could probably get 2.5 hours if you stay under displacement speed (i.e. do not go on plane).
Scary range any way you slice it.

My 5.0 will burn thru 12 gallons in about 2-3 hours, depending how many times the kids fall off the tube

yeah, thats very small I think. Like the fellas above said.

I have a 55 gal on my 18 foot ski boat (carbed 302) and I could eat 12 gallons in a few hours.

I would definately stick with smaller lakes

my 5.0 alpha burned fuel at a rate of 3 miles per gallon at light cruise, and about 1 mile per gallon pulling skiers. based on that, you can go between 12 and 36 miles

why not just put a replacement tank in the boat?
