OMC, 1982, 4cyl, 120 HP I/O - Alternator

Have an 120 HP I/O 4 Cyl OMC (Renken 1982).

I edited initial question ...

OK - see below, got the education ... now need to know alternator info.
Existing alternator is Prestolite Model ALK6222AYS3T with a Marine J1171 sticker on it.
Have googled like crazy.
Looking for today's Marine equivalent and automotive equivalent.

Has 2 poles on it, with 2 wires connected (12V), pretty simple.

OMC is Outboard Motor Corporation. They went out of business some years ago.
GM is GM, just like Ford is Ford, and Merc is either Mercruiser or Mercury Outboard.
It can or could be a GM based engine, but its an OMC Marine engine.

The main part of the engine is made by GM. It's a derivative of the 2.5L engine used in the 1960's "ChevyII" automobile.

You can look at all parts books (exploded views with zoom function) for your machine online at shop.evinrude.com - it will tell you pricing and availability of OEM parts, and a bit of googling of those numbers will give you aftermarket options.

That is helpful, because I am looking for an alternator.
Existing one is a Prestolite Model ALK6222AYS3T with a Marine J1171 sticker - PIA to find and looking for auto equivalent (and understand the dangers).
