OMC King Cobra 460 Horsepower rating?

Im curious what the horsepower rating was on the Ford 460 that OMC used for the King Cobra back in 1990. That motor in a 21' boat what do you think the top speed should be on the Missouri river? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one I had in my 87 211 Liberator was rated at 340crankshaft HP.

That roughly translates into about 300 propshaft HP.


My Liberator did about 60 MPH at 5000 RPM (1.41:1 drive and 20P 3 blade ss prop) and was a REAL DOG out of the hole.......
