Hi guys. Had the boat out and ran at about 30 miles per hour and ran great. Opened her up to about 4,200 RPM's on the way back to dock and when I pulled back down to the 5 MPH zone, she sputtered and would blow out black smoke and die. Could finally re-start if opened throttle all the way. I had to keep "heavy" on the throttle to limp back into the dock, while she blew black smoke. Temp looked ok. Carb problem?? If so, what kind of carb should I get? Thanks!!

Yes.

You either have a stuck/maladjusted choke or a stuck float.

You could either rebuild it or get one from Flyingfish. They'll either rebuild yours or send you a rebuilt one and a return receipt for your "core".
