4.3 engine cooling?

Hey wanted to see if anybody could give me some insight. I am replacing my 4.3l omc, I found another 4.3l omc donor engine the difference is mine in a '92 raw water cooled and the one I found is '95 vortec fresh water half system. My questions are:

Would I be able to hook up the half system instead of using the raw?

If I am able to use the half system, which water pump should I use? Mine has the impeller in the outdrive but the '95 uses a belt driven water pump.

You should be able to use the half system that came with the donor engine. Use the belt driven pump as well. you might also be able to leave the impeller in the outdrive, with no ill effect.

vortec motors came out in 96 (intake manifolds have 8 vertical bolts)
