Need some info from the experts in here:
So I have a 88 Galaxie boat works. Took the boat out to New Port Harbor today. After launching the boat, I was able to drop the out drive (Hydrualic) All the way down no problem. We set out to the ocean hit some nice swells and came about after about 5 hours of boating. While loading my boat all of a sudden the out drive WILL not raise up. The pump that engages the hydrualic lines work perfectly. I can hear the device but no action out of the out drive. After about hour of trouble shooting on the ramp and nice man came over and looked at my boat. He told me he thought the pump was low on hydrualic fluid. The only way to get the out drive up was to drain the fluid to release the pressure. So I did just that, tied some ropes to the to out drive to keep it from moving. So my question is does it sound like It was low on hydrualic fluid or is there something else going on.
