Ok so here's some info, I got a 85 searay with a 4.3l omc, but I recently got a rod knock, I am wanting to swap in a 86 omc complete engine now I know a lot will be the same, the only thing I am really concerned with is in the 85 it's a 2 piece rear main seal and in the 1 86 it's a 1 piece which means the flywheel bolt pattern will be different, my question is, is there a coupler that will bolt to the 86 omc motor and connect to the 85 out drive

Stringer I believe definitely haven't noticed cobra stamped all over it like I've seen in other boats

If its a stringer, there is NO coupler for a 1-piece RMS GM motor. You can take the ford coupler to a machine shop and drill the new pattern between the ford pattern
