I have found all parts I need except for gasket set. Can any of u guys tell me a part number for a fel pro marine set and where I could get them in Ontario. Thx
to clarify Bondo's question, is the distributor in the front of the motor or in the back of the motor?
if it is the 229 chevy, that brings up another question. why not upgrade to the 4.3 (yes, you need to take the ford coupler and machine it for the 1-piece RMS crank pattern or find the ultra rare 1985 only 4.3), however its a better option than rebuilding the 229
It is the Chevy 229. It was a fresh rebuild but the previous owner didn't winterize it properly and the block cracked so I just had to find another block. Easier and wanted to keep boat as close to original as possible. Now just need to find gasket set and all ready to go
