So mine is bad it I found the one the I think will work.
From what I found on this forum, one has 2 wires and one 3 but they are essentially the same.
So ordered the 3 wire and will just use the 2 needed.

Here is the question: It is a PITA to get the wire out and new one in.
So can I just cut the wire from the old and new and solder the wires?
It will probably change the resistance a bit but since I can test it at the connector and just set at what is needed, any harm in doing this?
I'm sure it would save good 1-2 hours screwing around in the darkness.

Any thoughts?

Well I just replaced mine and it had a 3 wire on it. When I unplugged the factory plut only 2 wires are being used. I mean there are just 2 prongs in the factory plug in the wire harness. It works but now I need to find out what size the 2 bolts are that holds it on as I can not find mine.. LOL
