1992 OMC Distributor issue

I am new to the form and in need of some assistance. I have a 1992 Crownline 180 BR with a 4.3 LOMC Cobra and the distributor has failed. I don't have many tools at the lake so I have taken it into the local marina who is a merc only shop. The diagnosed that the ignition module in the distributor has failed and as such the distributor needs to be replaced. Normally I would have just ordered parts but the distributor is obsolete and I cant find a replacement. I have seen some posts on the forum of people saying that there are replacements but I don't know what's what for the boat. Please help this newbie. Thanks in advance.

You can replace with a Delco EST but you will now have to modify the ESA a bit. There is an ESA that works with the Delco EST made by CDI. If you go that route, call CDI to get their advice.

I'm not sure on the part number yet. I am going to go this weekend and get some part numbers and some pics of the parts and I will post an update with them.
