OMC 454 Manual

Does anyone know where one could find a maintenance manual for a OMC 454 inboard engine? Would be greatly helpful! Thank you.

OMC was taken over by Volvo Penta. The early models were pretty much like the Merc but just a different color wire here and there from my point of view. There is an html manual at the link below

Thank you! Does it matter that I have a 1979 and this manual starts at 1986? I have the OMC 454 in a 1979 Penn Yan

There probably is but where the differences are I don't know. This is just for basics, and most may be there, but I have not gone thru it. If it wasn't for the holiday weekend there would be more comments

Unfortunately I only know of the knee pads (clymer)

However there are a few manuals on EBay

It's an inboard. In '79 OMC had the 305, 350, and 454 inboards. They didn't do a stern drive with the 454 until 1988.

Thank you all for the help. I'm not sure if that motor is original to the boat or not. But it definitely says OMC 454 and the title to the boat shows its a 1979.
