omc 3.0 motor removal

Can the motor be removed without taking outdrive off of boat ?

Ayuh,.... So it's a Cobra drive then,.....

Ya, Ya gotta align the motor to put it back in, 'n that's done through the gimbel bearin',.....
So,.... Yes, Pull the drive, then the motor,....
Reassembly is the opposite, drop in the motor, Align it, then slap the drive back on,....

Ayuh,... Good idea,.....

Another thing, even though it might be possible to get the motor out, you stand a serious chance of bendin' the drive's input shaft doin' it that way,....

Ok got lucky took out knocking motor to rebuild. Found a loose flywheel, tightened it up. Runs great no noise now.
