Two 115 Yamaha's on a 23' polar walkaround ?

Thinking about buying a 23' walkaround with 2 115's wonder if anybody has any experience eith something like this and is it enough power. any idea about fuel consumption And performance. Thanks

Twins are impressive.If you go off shore its nice if one fails.They will use about 23 gallons per hour at wot.
They will likely be slightly slower than a single 230 hp motor.A single 230 will use about the same fuel but likely going slightly faster for a given throttle setting.
Twins weigh about 700 lbs a single 230 about 540 lbs.You have twice the complication.Many folks have 2 motors for off shore because you have a back up if one fails. But it does seem to me you slightly increase the odds one will fail.

Border line under powered.....300HP boat, Can't plane on a single 115 hp, twin 150's (can plane) or a single 250 would be a better choice
