Anyone have any old Volvo Penta outboards?

Planning on looking at a boat, that has twin 45 hp VP's hang in' on the back.

Any chance that parts - impellers-- are available somewhere?

Or should I just consider them to be interesting paperweights?

I doubt you would want to torture yourself on the parts/repair side just to say you have a "novelty"............ people would not be fascinated even if you used them as paperweights

Yeah, I'm more interested in the boat, but don't know what I would do with the motors.

I think it would be a sin of some sort, to part out 2 of these in running condition.

Hopefully I can see them this weekend.

If both engines are actually in running condition and you really want the boat, buy it. Discount your price to reflect the possibility of replacing the engines relatively quickly. Then, run them until something breaks which can't be fixed. Replace with a good used popular brand engine.
